But until then......... HAPPY HAIR JOURNEY!

LET'S TALK HAIR!!

Hey, my beautiful queens. That's right! Pat your weave , ladys. Lol . Sew-ins , extentions , and braids should be a blessing not a curse. This blog is for my sisters that " aint got time for that" dealing with their natural hair. For my ladies that love their weave, but you can also have lovely manes under it.
Weaves is made to protect your hair not ruined it. Ever wonder why your hair is going through breakage, balding, and thinning edges? You know the cotton weave thread , that you use for sew-ins ? That cotton threading actually cuts your hair. Try investing In silk weave threading, some beauty supply stores carry them. Tight cornrows on top of installing an sew-in pulls and tugs on your hair. That putting an strain on your scalp, so try to do them a littler looser. When installing a weave I suggest leaving your sides out . Your edges are the weakest area, pulling on that area cause balding and thinning.
When wearing braids, cornrows, or individuals made sure the stylish be extra careful around the front area. If you do decide to wear extentions , and choose to leave some hair out. Try to use less heat to prevent heat damage . Give your hair a little break between extentions, around that time you can give your hair a protien treatment. Protien treatment gives your mane it's strength back!
Dont neglect your hair whether your hair in a sew-in, braids, or wigs. Your scalp and hair need a cleanse , daily moisture and just plain tlc. Weave should be a choice not an option. It's called protective style for a reason, to protect your hair! . I hope this help, but until then.........
HAPPY HAIR JOURNEY :)
Hey, my natural sisters it's that time to give your hair some tlc. Deep conditioning time !. Me personally I deep condition when I think my hair needs it, some others have a set schedule when they deep condition.
So let's get started, I choose products that was laying around in my hair stash. You can choose two of your favorite conditioners, two or three oils your hair loves. Also one or two eggs depending how long your hair is, and one avocado (optional ).
The products I choose to use is Neutrogena Triple Moisture Daily Deep Conditioner { $5 Target} , Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Replenishing Pak {$1.75 local beauty supply store} , Evoo {extra virgin olive oil!}, Jamaican Black Castor Oil { $5 local beauty supply store}, Nature's Addiction Seven Elements Oil { http://www.NaturesAddiction.com/ } and one egg.
THE PROS
protein
Moisture
strengthen hair
shine
THE CONS
Not that thick , I advise to use avocado to thicken.
( Side note: this little D.I.Y is great for prepoo before shampoo)
HAPPY HAIR JOURNEY :)
Hey, my natural sisters. So I decided to straighten my natural hair, oh my god lol. Well let's just say it was a tragically, my hair was super straight for a good two minutes, before it began to puff up. First time I put any type of heat on my hair since a BC (big chop) january 19, 2013.
I was a little upset about the outcome, next time I probably stop being cheap and invest in going to the salon. But to avoid any type of heat damage the flat iron were set at low heat. The products I use were Tresemme heat tamer spray and Jamaican Black Castor Oil.
Since the experience wasn't so good, I didn't feel like washing my hair all over again. So I thought why not do a braidout and see how that would turn out. Sometimes a hair fail is not a bad thing, you have to work your magic at times.
