The Time Is Almost Here!! ( One year hair journey is approaching )
During those summer nights, my hair was dryer than Egypt. My wash and go's weren't doing so well, like I said my hair journey wasn't easy. Sometimes when the season change, you regiment have to change too. At one point I became so fed up with my hair I'd decided to get an undercut, as of today I decided to grow my sides back. Returning back to natural , you have to be mentality ready to take its journey. Once you BC that's when your hair journey really begins. My transition trial was a breeze, roller sets and straw sets were my best friends. I only transition for eight months, I kind of gotten a little fed up with the two different types of textures. I just was sitting in my room one day and found some scissors next thing I know I was cutting away. After that I never look back, and it felt so good. Since I return back to natural, I been able to regain this confidence I never knew I had. My style change also. I've meet a lot of beautiful queens during this past year, we share hair stories and give one other advice. If I could do it all over again I would.
In the mist of everything I decided to open an online store, that sells hand pick thrift pieces. Since you know my one year hair journey anniversary is approaching starting 2014 during January 1 to 19 I'm giving away free hair care products. That's right baby! For the first five customer who purchase a item , will receive one hair care products. It can be anything from conditioner, curl crème, or hair oil.( link below) So all my natural sisters and relaxer lover tell a girlfriend!

Product Review ( Jamaican's black castor oil)
Since using the Jamaican's black castor oil , my hair seems to be more thicker and I have slightly less shedding. The consistency is really thick , so I kindly suggest you use this oil wisely. Castor oil shield in moisture, so the L.O.C method (liquid oil cream) great idea to use the oil. As of late my hair has been extra soft and moisturizing, so I can skip a few days of daily moisturizing. This oil can be found at your local beauty supply store, and also budget friendly!
The benefits of Jamaican's black castor oil:
- Increase hair growth
- Repair dry, damage hair
- Thicken hair
- Decreased of spilt ends
- Treat dry, itchy scalp
But until then...... HAPPY HAIR JOURNEY!

Pat Your Weave Baby !
Hey, my beautiful queens. That's right! Pat your weave , ladys. Lol . Sew-ins , extentions , and braids should be a blessing not a curse. This blog is for my sisters that " aint got time for that" dealing with their natural hair. For my ladies that love their weave, but you can also have lovely manes under it.
Weaves is made to protect your hair not ruined it. Ever wonder why your hair is going through breakage, balding, and thinning edges? You know the cotton weave thread , that you use for sew-ins ? That cotton threading actually cuts your hair. Try investing In silk weave threading, some beauty supply stores carry them. Tight cornrows on top of installing an sew-in pulls and tugs on your hair. That putting an strain on your scalp, so try to do them a littler looser. When installing a weave I suggest leaving your sides out . Your edges are the weakest area, pulling on that area cause balding and thinning.
When wearing braids, cornrows, or individuals made sure the stylish be extra careful around the front area. If you do decide to wear extentions , and choose to leave some hair out. Try to use less heat to prevent heat damage . Give your hair a little break between extentions, around that time you can give your hair a protien treatment. Protien treatment gives your mane it's strength back!
Dont neglect your hair whether your hair in a sew-in, braids, or wigs. Your scalp and hair need a cleanse , daily moisture and just plain tlc. Weave should be a choice not an option. It's called protective style for a reason, to protect your hair! . I hope this help, but until then.........
HAPPY HAIR JOURNEY :)

My hair needs love and affection.
Hey, my natural sisters it's that time to give your hair some tlc. Deep conditioning time !. Me personally I deep condition when I think my hair needs it, some others have a set schedule when they deep condition.
So let's get started, I choose products that was laying around in my hair stash. You can choose two of your favorite conditioners, two or three oils your hair loves. Also one or two eggs depending how long your hair is, and one avocado (optional ).
The products I choose to use is Neutrogena Triple Moisture Daily Deep Conditioner { $5 Target} , Organic Root Stimulator Olive Oil Replenishing Pak {$1.75 local beauty supply store} , Evoo {extra virgin olive oil!}, Jamaican Black Castor Oil { $5 local beauty supply store}, Nature's Addiction Seven Elements Oil { http://www.NaturesAddiction.com/ } and one egg.
THE PROS
protein
Moisture
strengthen hair
shine
THE CONS
Not that thick , I advise to use avocado to thicken.
( Side note: this little D.I.Y is great for prepoo before shampoo)
HAPPY HAIR JOURNEY :)

Straighten Natural Hair (fail)
Hey, my natural sisters. So I decided to straighten my natural hair, oh my god lol. Well let's just say it was a tragically, my hair was super straight for a good two minutes, before it began to puff up. First time I put any type of heat on my hair since a BC (big chop) january 19, 2013.
I was a little upset about the outcome, next time I probably stop being cheap and invest in going to the salon. But to avoid any type of heat damage the flat iron were set at low heat. The products I use were Tresemme heat tamer spray and Jamaican Black Castor Oil.
Since the experience wasn't so good, I didn't feel like washing my hair all over again. So I thought why not do a braidout and see how that would turn out. Sometimes a hair fail is not a bad thing, you have to work your magic at times.

Product Review
Let's talk , Elasta Mango & Olive oil Moisturizer. It was love at first use, lol my hair loves it. The consistency is real light weight , the butter smell so yummy. This is one of those products, that does exactly what it suppose to do! I use this butter as my sealant or when I'm installing my two strand twist for a twistout. Or just daily moisturizing.
QP moisturizer work well with some gel, and curl cream . A little of it goes a long way. I'm really light handed when it comes to butters . QP has not disappoint me yet! . Oh and one more thing, the product is budget friendly. Don't you like the sound of that!
Give Elasta QP Mango & Olive oil Moisturizer a try!
HAPPY HAIR JOURNEY!

My Hair Ain't Right! { OIL RINSING }
The Benefits Of Oil Rinsing :
Moisture retention
Soft hair
Easy detangling
Adds shine to hair
Less single strands knots
"What am I suppose to do?" . I'm happy you asked! Just add the oil rinsing to your wash regiment. You can do it, before or after you co-wash. I choose to do it before, I wash my hair. I section my hair into four sections, then I apply my Africa's Best Herbal Oil ( you can use your favorite oil) to each section. I smooth the oil in my hair, from my ends to my scalp. I let the oil sit in my hair like a deep conditioner for about 1 to 2 minutes . Then a rinse the oil out and continue my normal wash routine!
Pretty simple right!. I truly see a difference in my hair. Try it. I truly approved of this! Hope this helps.
Happy Hair journey
IS IT REAL!
Downtown center city {philadelphia} people asked "Can I touch your hair?!" . No chance to respond, they do it anyway. Hehehe! . Or that moment you in a beauty supply store, and a women ask "what kind of hair is that?" { referring to my naturalhair }. I really have an obession with natural hair!
